As the sponsorship chairman for Pasco Youth Football, I would like to tell you about our program. We are a tackle football program open to all youth ages 7 to 13 in Pasco and the surrounding areas. Last year we had over 200 youth playing on 14 teams at four different levels. Because of the success we had last year, we are anticipating even more participants in 2008. Through our program we teach the basic fundamentals of teamwork, sportsmanship, and introduce the kids to the exciting game of football! In a tackle football program, the safety of the participants is directly related to the quality of the equipment used. In the ongoing effort to improve the quality of our equipment, this year we are replacing approximately 70 helmets. We are asking for your support to help us in this effort and to support other areas of the program such as training and insurance for the coaches, field maintenance, and referee costs. While all of the coaches and board members are volunteer and do not receive monetary compensation for their work, the program does have other costs that are paid by the registration fee, fund raisers, and sponsors like you. So we do appreciate your help! We had a great response from our community last year and are hoping to involve even more in this years campaign. As a community member we are asking for your donation to help offset some of the costs for the program so that we can continue to offer a quality to program at an affordable registration cost for those who want to participate.
